Garanti İplik, one of Turkey’s largest cotton spinning companies, has chosen LAIP as the supplier of its complete dyeing plant: from the opening of cotton bales to the pneumatic conveyance of the dyed and dried staple to the mixing chamber. The company has chosen numerous 198HT machines for the staple dyeing of cotton, for which the company is renowned the world over, with its yarn blends. With a capacity of up to 1 500 Kg, the machines are fitted with latest-generation centrifugal pumps, which guarantee high yield and efficient performance, while also maintaining a low liquor ratio.
Construction for the new plant started in March 2021 and was followed step by step by LAIP technicians, who were proud to participate in this important project. The fully automated line enables 24-7 operation. The production cycle is fully integrated and digitalised: a robotised overhead crane, remote supervisor checking and numerous other technologies means that the plant fully lives up to all industry 4.0 criteria.
The company also distinguishes itself due to its commitment to sustainability: it is the first in Europe to generate wind energy internally, thanks to an extremely powerful wind turbine installed at the company.
